One of the many fortunate aspects of living in a National Park like Banff is the opportunity to experience wildlife ; the Bow Valley Parkway on the way to Johnston Canyon is one of the most prolific places to see wildlife being in the desirable Montane Zone. Bull elk in Hilldale meadow in the fall, a harem with a calf enjoying a summer afternoon, a lone Bull relaxing in a field near Castle Mountain.
